About Hippie Hill

rainbow at the hill view Hippie Hill is a small community located deep in the heart of Tennessee. Our farm is 114 acres stretched across a beautiful rolling range of mountains. The focus of our community is simple living and helping others. We have a community kitchen where food is served for anyone who wants to eat.

Since the beginning of the Hill, we have taken in anyone who needs a place to stay and a meal to eat. You bring what you can, and get what you need. The entire operation of the Hill is run by those who come to stay here, and those who are passing through. We welcome anyone with skills to come join our community and help. We also teach those who come through the skills necessary to live in and operate a self sustaining home.

All of the electricity comes from several diesel generators. We will soon be converting to bio-diesel to save on the costs of diesel and generally lighten our load on this pretty little planet. If some of the travelers coming through don't know how to work on an engine we teach them. Our water we source from a natural spring. It is pure clean water, which we have had tested and is cleaner by far than city water.

We have festivals, art shows, music and dancing regularly. We enjoy life and love to celebrate in it. We do not allow drugs at all on the Hill. We help people get clean if they are interested in making positive changes in their lives. We do not allow people to stay here that use drugs. Please respect this if you want to come to our home.

There's a big stage built for bands to play at our festivals and concerts. We have full lighting, complete with geometric laser lights. We also have a movie screen we pull down on our quiet nights. We have 2 teepees on our hill, one is 2 stories with a bedroom and a pool table. The other has a fire-pit in the middle that keeps us warm during the winter. We have many artists living on the hill, and have quite a bit of arts and crafts that are made on the hill. At many of our festivals we have had live painting, face painting, and vending including T-shirts, jewelry, and food. We make all sorts of jewelery and clothes. We will soon have a store on the hill with posters, jewelery, incenses, oils, hemp crafts, crystals and stones, original art, clothes and more.
